MTV Video Music Awards : Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift et Billie Eilish dominent le palmarès

Hier avait lieu la cérémonie des MTV Video Music Awards. Une soirée marquée par le sacre de Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande et Billie Eilish. Le détail sur aficia.

C’est cette nuit, depuis le Prudential Center à Newark dans le New Jersey, qu’avait lieu la 36ème cérémonie des MTV Video Music Awards, les VMAs pour les intimes. À cette occasion, le gratin de l’industrie musicale était présent afin de nous offrir un show mémorable.

La soirée fut donc marquée par les prestations de Taylor Swift, qui a eu l’honneur d’ouvrir le bal, Rosalía, les Jonas Brothers, Normani, Shawn Mendes en compagnie de Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus ou encore Missy Elliott offrant un large medley.

Cette dernière était présente afin de recevoir le Video Vanguard Award, un prix d’honneur déjà remis par le passé à des artistes comme Beyoncé, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez ou encore Britney Spears. Cette soirée était également l’occasion d’inaugurer le MTV Fashion Trailblazer Award remis à Marc Jacob afin de récompenser son impact dans l’industrie musicale.

Taylor Swift, BTS, Shawn Mendes…

Du côté des récompenses, Taylor Swift qui était venue interprété les titres de son album Lover qui signe un démarrage record outre-Atlantique, part avec trois prix dans ses bagages dont celui de Vidéo de l’Année pour “You Need to Calm Down”. Elle est en égalité parfaite avec Ariana Grande qui gagne également trois trophée dont celui d’Artiste de l’Année.

La sensation Billie Eilish fait également très fort en repartant avec trois prix également. Elle s’affiche ainsi comme Meilleur Nouvel Artiste et remporte un trophée pour le titre “Bad Guy”.

Lady Gaga bredouille…

Dans le reste du palmarès, Lil Nas X s’offre deux prix dont celui de Chanson de l’Année avec “Old Town Road”. BTS confirme également sa place dans l’industrie musicale avec les prix de Meilleur Groupe et Meilleur Titre K-Pop pour “Boy with Luv”.

Du côté de Shawn Mendes, sans surprise le titre “Señorita” a fait son effet. Il s’offre le prix de Meilleure Collaboration, récompensant au passage Camila Cabello.

Notons, pour finir, que Lady Gaga repart bredouille des VMAs. Le titre “Shallow” était nommé dans les catégorie Titre de l’Année et Collaboration de l’Année. Qu’importe, l’album A Star is Born continue de faire un carton et la Mother Monster compte bien publier son nouvel album avant la fin de l’année.
